we just watched this movie "wish i was here"...directed by zach braff among others. i loved it. i actually cried while watching it. the most moving/emotional/cute/thought-provoking moment in the movie was when there was a man (not going to say who it was) on his death bed. he said to the loved ones (i'm making up the exact sentence because i couldn't find the script online haha) at his bedside "don't forget how fast it goes" ...talking about life. he was realizing how he'd lived his life and it'd gone so fast, he wished he could've done better...done differently.
on our deathbeds (someday) i guess we all are going to wish we had done more, said more, acted differently, loved more potently, acted less selfishly, and seen with wider eyes.
i want to do that. i want to see the world and act like myself and love when i can and just be me. life is crazy and complicated and confusing and it rushes and moves. before i knew it, i, myself, grew up! here i am...graduated and working and trying to become an adult. i don't want to take for granted this life. i want to realize as my life is going, that it is just that....going! life moves fast and there's so much to learn and take in and experience. i want to take it as it comes and live it. appreciating clear mornings, hot-sweaty-loved-ones-filled hikes, clearest blue skies, puppy faces, delicious food, cool evenings, and love.
