Mom is 60?!

It's almost my mother's 60th birthday. The other day I was told that it's weird/different how close I am with my family, that most people aren't that way and it's not bad or good…it's just different.  I wouldn't say I'm terribly close with them or wanting to call my mom every second to tell her ever snippet of my life.  But, I know we communicate and share things quite a bit.  I like it.  My parents are so supportive of me, even though I'm almost 25, I know they'd help me with anything I need and I feel very comfortable with them.  I'm so glad I have the parents that I do, because they've enabled me to go through life with a confidence and comfort - always knowing I have them to fall back on and to lean on when things in life get hard, confusing or "too much".

Today, and for the next few days (her birthday is on July 6), I am wanting to soak up the beauty of my mom and to show her love.  She is amazing, kind, persevering, attentive, fun, a thinker, creative, beautiful, loving and so supportive.  Her support for my father is unfailing and very honorable.  His wants and needs are always her priority, she rarely puts her own needs before others.  I've learned my long showers, beauty tricks, cooking ways and many other things from Delray.  She is so great.  Her inside and outside are incredibly beautiful and I hope to one day be a mother, wife and woman like she is.

Love you, mom!!!
