Cherished

A few weeks ago, I took my dog to the animal hospital to have a little lump examined. I, my boyfriend, other family members had all felt concern and wonder about whether it was benign or what, even, it was! As it turns out, the old veterinarian who looks like he has had decades of worried pet owners ask him to feel their dogs' lump...he said juniper's lump was nothing and we shouldn't be concerned after all. Ah what a relief.

So...why did I ever even worry? I mean....she's a dog.

I guess I sometimes feel silly and ashamed for the stresses in my life when there are others who suffer with real diseases and losses and realities beyond my imagination. I want to be reminded daily that the world is full of blessings in disguise, silver-linings, mysteries that end in true happiness, and flowers growing among thorns.

Life of any kind is valuable and worry-over-able. From the smallest sparrow to our nearest loved one, every life deserves to be cherished and appreciated.

Especially one's own life. Giving thanks today 💕
